What We Stand For

There is one God; He exists in three persons – Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. He was before the foundation of the world. He is eternal, unchanging, always keeping His promises. “The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved. (Psalm 93:1). It is this awesome, almighty God who wants a covenant relation with you. That is the reason He gave us the Bible, His inspired Word, and sent Jesus to this sinful world. How amazing it is to be loved this much!

So How can I Have This Loving Relationship With Him?

A.  Hear His Word

Romans 10:17 says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

B.  Believe

John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Master said: “…for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins,” (John 8:24).

C.  Repent

Luke 13:3 says, “I tell you, Nay; but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

D.  Confess

In Matthew 16:16, Peter made the “good” confession when he said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

“…. if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe with your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved” (Romans 10:9)

E.  Be Baptized

1 Peter 3:21 says, “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

We must “…repent and be baptized (immersed in water) in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).

F.  Live a Faithful Life

2 Timothy 2:15 says,” Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Matthew 10:22b says “he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
